Replica Audemars Piguet Royal Oak on the Move
Sorry for the length of time between posts, but I've been VERY busy. I hope to announce the fruits of my labor (a new site) very soon, but let's just say it's one of those sites I always wished was around… so I wrote it!
Also on the agenda has been a recent purchase. I've always lusted after AP Royal Oaks, and one came in my direction, literally. I found a seller right here near my home town. The watch is amazing. Many of the flaws in Royal Oaks have been eliminated (bad dial mainly, terrible crown; sometimes it didn't even screw down, bad case back, bad clasp, etc.), but one new one rears it's head: the bracelet is "just" a bit too small at the case! There's a small but noticable gap there (yuck).
Other than that they are by far the best AP reps on the market. Below is a sample of the different examples borrowed from my original seller. As you can see they come in a variety of dials, stainless and gold-plated.
The clasp is GREATLY improved, but the bracelet still feels a little light. It probably has to do with the lower-grade steel used in the watches construction.
Solid case back! After years of incorrect exhibition case backs and "Fondation" dials we finally have a winning combination. Decent to good quality all around.
I hope to take photos of my own when I have the time…
